Postpartum Doula Services

As a postpartum doula, I support mothers in getting the care and attention they deserve after their baby arrives. In today’s infant‑centric medical culture—where providers often focus primarily on the newborn—postpartum depression rates have continued to rise. The medical system has done women a great disservice by not preparing them for the realities of the postpartum period or encouraging them to seek the support they need.

Mothers deserve to know that help is available. Sometimes that looks like me meal‑prepping, picking up a grocery order, or connecting them with trusted pelvic floor specialists in the area. By essentially “mothering the mother,” women are able to adjust more smoothly to life after birth, ensuring that both their needs and their baby’s needs are met. My hope is to see postpartum depression rates steadily decline, because it’s not enough to have healthy babies—we need healthy mothers too.

We don’t just want a healthy baby, we want a healthy mom too.
